'Captain' Son Heung-min is back in the starting lineup against Kuwait after returning from injury and will form an attacking trio with Oh Se-hoon and Lee Kang-in.

Head coach Hong Myung-bo has named his starting lineup for the South Korea National Football Team's upcoming match against Kuwait at the Jaber Al Ahmed National Stadium in Kuwait City, Kuwait, on Thursday (Nov. 14) at 11:00 p.m. KST for the fifth match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup North and Central America Third Qualifying Round in Asia.

Son Heung-min (Tottenham), who has been called up to the squad after two months out due to injury, starts at left-back and will partner Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain) on the left flank. Son, who currently has 49 goals in 129 A-match appearances, will move into a tie for second place on South Korea's all-time A-match goals list with Hwang Sun-hong (50) if he scores in this match.
